What Is Wagyu Tri-Tip?

Wagyu tri-tip (トモサンカク / Tomosankaku) is a triangular cut from the bottom sirloin, at the junction of the sirloin and the round. It is known for its clean, beefy flavour and moderate marbling — even at A4 grade, the intramuscular fat delivers a noticeably superior eating experience to commodity beef. In Japan, it is a staple of yakiniku menus; internationally, it is gaining recognition as "wagyu tri-tip" in premium BBQ and casual dining formats.
